Over the weekend, the newest space for Geelong creatives swung its doors open.
The brainchild of Laura Van Noordenburg, Geelong Creatives originally served as an online directory for creatives in town but has since grown and evolved.
The physical store was launched on Friday night, with several live art installations, a collection of photographs from Stevie van der Chys’ most recent exhibition and a general look of Geelong’s talent on offer throughout the course of the evening.
Opening the store is a big step for Laura, but hopefully one of many more to come. The space will be manned by Laura as well as creatives involved in the group. Essentially, the store serves as not only a chance to pick up something one-off and made with love, it’s also a chance to support a local business and help grow the passion of some of Geelong’s most talented individuals.
Geelong Creatives is located at 47 Gheringhap St, Geelong. Visit the Facebook site or website for more information.
