The Geelong Arts Centre’s livestream performances return, bringing the sounds of Lash 78, Ella Hooper and Tripod into homes this week

The Geelong institution will brighten up homes this week.

With the cancellation of all scheduled performances and events and the temporary closure of its building once again, the Geelong Arts Centre has turned to its creativity of last year, re-sharing some of the amazing performances from their 2020 #WhereCreativityMeetsAtHome Livestream lineup.

Running for a good part of last year, the rich online experience featured several brilliant performances, from pop to cabaret and comedy, enabling the arts centre to employ Australian artists who have been hit hard by the impacts of coronavirus.

Now as we all retreat to the confines of our four walls once more, the Geelong Arts Centre is injecting life into our homes with six of their best performances from last year which are available online and on-demand until June 4, the proposed date that the seven-day circuit breaker lockdown will end.

For the next week, curl up on the couch and indulge in the positive spirit of Geelong sister rock-pop duo Lash78, comprised of Lauren and Sheridan Harvey; Australian musical theatre leading men, Bert LaBonte and Rob Tripolino; home-grown talent Taylor Henderson; the dynamic, award-winning Aussie music legend Ella Hooper; Australian comedy sensation Tripod; and one of Australia’s leading musical theatre duos, Simon and Natalie.

While each stellar performance is already live and ready to be consumed On Demand here, the individual performances will be shared to the Geelong Arts Centre Facebook page each night at 7:00pm. To take part, simply tune in, sit back and enjoy!
