The Chats, Thelma Plum, Mallrat and more announced for huge concert series across regional Victoria

Youth music organisation The Push bring back the 'All-Ages Tour'

Australia’s iconic youth music organisation The Push are helping to inject life back into the Victorian music community with the return of their massive regional concert series, ‘All-Ages Tour’, kicking off this February across regional Victoria from Wodonga to Warrnambool, Broadford to Ballarat and everywhere in between across seven summer weekends.

Taking in the sights and scenery throughout 18 regional and outer-suburban locations across Victoria, the huge tour will bring thousands of young music fans to locations across the state, in what is hotly tipped to be some of the biggest and best all-ages events in recent memory with tickets capped at just $20.

The key takeaways

  • The Push announce huge regional concert series, ‘All-Ages Tour’
  • The tour will see Alex Lahey, Alice Skye, Allday, The Chats, plus more, perform at regional towns across Victoria

Bringing talent to Victorian towns that wouldn’t usually get to enjoy quality live music, the exciting all-ages, fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke-free event will feature the likes of Alex Lahey, Alice Skye, Allday, The Chats, Dallas Woods, JK-47, KIAN, Kaiit, Mallrat, MLBRN, Ninajirachi, The Smith Street Band, Sycco, Thelma Plum and Teenage Joans, providing an all-ages experience like never before.

“After a devastating 18 months for both young people and the contemporary live music sector, The Push is excited to have this opportunity to bring Australia’s best artists to regional and outer-suburban Victoria,” tells The Push CEO Kate Duncan.

“We’re supporting a stack of incredible artists to get back on the road and into local venues – generating important employment opportunities in areas that have lacked cultural tourism throughout the pandemic, and rejuvenating the all-ages live music scene across the state.”

It’s definitely one for the music fans, especially after the success of the 2019 tour that saw Ruby Fields and Baker Boy take to sold-out stages across regional Victoria. Supported by the Victorian Government, each of the events is being staged by teams of local young people, as a part of the Victorian Government FReeZA program – a youth development initiative that provides young people with industry skills and experiences in staging events in their local communities.

Wangaratta FReeZA participant Leah Anderson-Byrne said: “I’ve loved diving into the music industry world with the support of everyone at The Push. The tour has taught me so much about what it takes to put on an event of this size, plus the knowledge shared from industry professionals has been invaluable.”

“I’m really looking forward to bringing some huge names in Australian music to regional and rural towns and giving the younger members of those communities an opportunity to enjoy live music in a safe, age-appropriate environment without having to travel.”

“It’s going to be a magical event, I’m very proud to have worked on it,” Anderson-Byrne concludes.
