Lock it in.
It’s almost impossible to pass up a beer festival at the best of times, but when there’s one only an hour’s drive away from you – offering up to 200 craft beers and ciders – attendance is essential.
That’s right beer lovers, the Ballarat Beer Festival have just subtly announced their ‘save the date’ for next year’s festival.
Returning for its tenth year (which is worthy of a beer itself), The Ballarat Beer Festival will return to the beautiful Northern Gardens on Saturday, February 20, turning the space into a craft beer lover’s paradise.
Each year, the family-friendly festival is filled with almost 40 of Australia’s leading craft beer brewers, giving the crowds – and the craft beer enthusiasts – the chance to sample a tonne of delicious (and some quite adventurous) craft beers and ciders.
Past years have seen brews from locals like The Mallow Hotel, as well as well-known favourites from Forte territory Blackman’s Brewery, Bells Beach Brewing, Flying Brick Cider Co. and Daylesford Brewing Co. Other brewers come from right across Victoria, with past years seeing appearances from Bright Brewery, Bridge Road Brewers from Beechworth, and Jetty Road Brewery from Mornington Peninsula.
Usually, the event also sees brewers coming from interstate so we’re hoping 2021 will deliver on that front too.
Mixed in with many of Australia’s finest large, small and emerging independent breweries, you’ll also find a dozen food stalls all serving up global culinary delights you can match with your favourite brews, as well as a pretty strong lineup of live music and free seminars for budding beer enthusiasts.
While we don’t have the finer details of the upcoming event, rest assured that with craft beer, ciders, fine wines, live music and food trucks – The Ballarat Beer Festival is the best way to spend a Saturday this summer.
This is your official save the date – so pencil February 20 in those 2021 diaries and keep your eyes peeled for more news from the Ballarat Beer Festival camp. Check out the FB event here.
