The courts will witness fierce competition among the best tennis players on the planet as they vie for the championship title. Meanwhile, off the court, the event precinct is gearing up to offer a wide array of entertainment and activities to cater to tennis enthusiasts of all ages. This forthcoming event will feature an expanded program of events during Opening Week and more opportunities for fans to get close to the action with the champions of today and stars of tomorrow.

Day sessions at Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena will feature a minimum of two matches, with an aim to reduce late finishes. Night sessions also offer two matches, ensuring an unforgettable Australian Open experience.

A significant investment of nearly $1 billion by the Labor Government has revitalized the Melbourne Park area. The precinct is now perfectly poised to host this extended tournament and welcome hordes of excited fans.

Notably, the Government has secured the Australian Open’s presence in Melbourne until 2046, ensuring that this prestigious international event continues to be a magnet for hundreds of thousands of visitors to Victoria for generations to come.
