Sweat Dreams Presents: Juno Mamba and Franci Inferno Orchestra

SWEAT DREAMS PRESENTS: JUNO MAMBA AND FRANCIS INFERNO ORCHESTRA

Juno Mamba:

A proud Filipino immigrant, Juno Mamba’s music is richly detailed and deeply personal. ‘I discovered music through my mother, who’s an incredible classical pianist. I used music to feel accepted. Music protected me from the real world and made me feel safe’.

Moving to Australia at the age of 5, music soon became an outlet. Learning guitar at school and playing in punk bands through his teenage years, he found himself drawn to music recording and production.

Demonstrating exponential growth in his capabilities as a producer and musician, his intention of creating music with space to feel and to think is still intrinsic to the project, but is now steeled with the kind of confidence only time brings.

2021 has seen the release of EP, Freedom, from Juno Mamba so far, with its spiritual partner, Infinity, set for release in the second half of the year. Tied together with threads of wanting to reflect and fortified with hope and optimism and a yearning for connection in a time when it’s most needed, Juno Mamba’s 2021 efforts depict a producer in his element. He’s leaned into the discomfort vulnerability brings, and by doing so has tapped into its power as well, and it’s here where Juno Mamba really finds his strength as an artist.

FRANCIS INFERNO ORCHESTRA:

Francis Inferno Orchestra (Griffin James) is among the most esteemed talents to emerge from Australia’s creative capital, Melbourne. His eccentric approach to music that has one step in the past and one toward the future, has also permeated the Superconscious label he runs alongside Fantastic Man. A label which champions Australian music & beyond and already in its youthful lifespan, has become a ‘one to watch’ in the underground scene.

Point of Departure & Sweat Dreams are proud to present this event on Wadawurrung Country.
