Summertime, an’ the livin’ is easy. You have a couple of ripping open air concerts coming up in the Bendigo area as part of the Summer in the Park series.
Tomorrow night, January 22, the Botanical Gardens on Napier Street will host Collard Greens and Gravy and Abbie Cardwell from 6p.m. Then on January 29, Canterbury Park, Eaglehawk will host Lily & King and Alawishus Jones & the Outright Lies from 6p.m.
From Melbourne, Lily and King describe themselves as a quirky musical junkyard. Lily (Lisa Baird) plays toy piano, percussion and sings. She is also pretty mean on the trombone. King (Tony King) is a doublebass player who prefers to play guitar, banjo and foot drums. He sings a bit, too.
