Street Artist Lush Turned an NGV Toilet into an Exhibition Space

Street artist Lush hijacked a toilet at the National Gallery over the weekend to turn it into his own personal gallery space.

Lush has been referred to as Australia’s answer to Banksy, with the artist’s latest stunt taking taking a decidedly guerrilla approach. Lush set up a mini exhibition inside a disabled toilet at the National Gallery – unbeknownst to the staff. After showcasing his handiwork on social media, punters ventured out in search of the toilet-gallery. However, the savvy folk at NGV caught on before eventually shutting it down.

The artist is well known for his larger than life Kim Kardashian murals, which has taken the city by storm in recent months.

Check out his antics below.
