Words by Staff Writer

The Strawberry Fields lineup is here for its November 2024 festival, with an impressive and diverse international heavy program.

The Strawberry Fields lineup is here and it’s no wonder the festival creates such high-demand. In one of the most challenging periods for the festival industry globally, Strawberry Fields has defied trends selling out 95% of capacity for its 15th anniversary edition in just three hours on Thursday before even announcing a single act.

The festival has now dropped an impressive and diverse international heavy lineup that’s set to make it a very memorable start to the season. Ever eclectic, diverse and innovative in its curation, this year’s 15 year birthday bash promises to be the biggest weekend of the year, featuring 86 live artists and DJs from around the world along with innovative art installations, expanded entertainment area, new stages plus plenty of surprises still to be announced.

UKG, house and techno legends

The 2024 line-up for the Wildlands stage features UK garage powerhouse DJ EZ, high energy electronic producer KiNK (live) and Naarm based legends Sam Alfred and SWIM will no doubt take the dusty dancefloor into a frenzy before genre-spanning DJ Theo Parrish and rising female DJ TSHA take centre stage.

One of the always distinguishing features of the Strawberry Fields lineup is its live music and alternative offering, and this year’s edition packs a punch with inclusions never before seen in the Australian bush scene. From heavyweights such as Daddy G (Massive Attack), Afrobeat royalty Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Pakistani jazz raga fusion quartet Jaubi, experimental African collective KOKOKO!, and Japanese electronic music composer Soichi Terada leading live performances on The Grove stage.

Live techno savants flock to experience the Australian debut of Circle of Live (ft. Kuniyuki, Sebastian Mullaert and local legends Sleep D), prolific producer and DJ Paula Tape, French house producer Sébastien Léger and well known tech house collective Township Rebellion which will take place on a relocated and reimagined Deep Jungle stage.

New stages and big upgrades

Long time fans will love to hear that The Beach stage is expanding! There will be more space to dance waist deep in the river to the soundtrack of techno fusion producer Physical Therapy, DJ PGZ Presenting Ecstatic Mob (Afrodisiac, Mikalah Watego, Naycab, Pataphysics (live), Zjoso), a special showcase from Japan’s underground scene with Rainbow Disco Club showcase ft Kikiorix, Sisi, Kuniyuki (live) and house funk legends of 24 years Soul Clap.

If the musical menu set amongst Australia’s most pristine bushland wasnt enough for you, Strawberry have committed to pulling out all the stops to mark this significant milestone with new stages and spaces being unveiled including a new amphitheatre for performance art, lifestyle and chillout hub, Bush Spa upgrades including sauna and expanded services along with a special projection art installation that will honour the late legend and visionary artist Nick Azidis, whose work has inspired countless festival-goers over the years at Strawberry.

The Mirage Motel returns to serve up free Moroccan tea and backgammon around live music and performances whilst multidisciplinary artists and facilitators use the festival site as their canvas to create large-scale awe-inspiring works and engage attendees in workshops and talks.

A slice of paradise

Continuing their commitment and remaining a leader in event sustainability Strawberry returns with their rewash revolution system that has diverted over 200,000 single use plastics away from landfill, a cashless payment system, increased SF Bus offering and powering the festival 100% on green energy such as solar and biodiesel whilst also offsetting carbon emissions via Treecreds.

The demand for this 15th-anniversary celebration has been unprecedented, with site traffic on Ballot Day taking down the Humanitix ticketing platform globally. This overwhelming response underscores the festival’s enduring appeal and the community’s excitement to be part of this landmark event.

Very limited number of Final Round Tickets available 9 July 9am via Humanitix.
