Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival

In a unique celebration of Bendigo wines and gourmet foods, the Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival returns again next month.

Offering festival-goers the chance to meet the winemakers of the region, it’s the perfect opportunity to sample all the hand-crafted vintages and styles of local wine in the garden setting of Rosalind Park, right in the heart of Bendigo.

With more than 20 wineries showcasing their very best, Bendigo Winegrowers president Wes Vine says the wine celebration isn’t just one for the passionate wine lovers.

β€œThe event will have something for everyone – Bendigo region wine, food stalls offering a range of cuisines and music from The Northern Folk and Erica Hawkey Band.”

With entry tickets including a souvenir festival glass and all wine tastings, it’s your chance to try something new – think sweet sparkling, grassy whites and full-bodied reds.

For the budding wine connoisseurs, there will also be three wine master-classes ran by Finn Vedelsby, owner of Bendigo restaurant Rocks on Rosalind. You will need an extra ticket for these, but it will be a worthwhile food-pairing journey with some delectable tasting plates to match with the local wines.

Perfect for an autumn afternoon, find a spot on the grass and raise a glass to this pop-up cellar door style festival.

The festivities start from 11am and runs through to 4pm – the perfect amount of time to relax and indulge in what Bendigo’s wine region has to offer.
