In past years once the box office yearly tallies come in, Australian films have looked rather glum. Though this year things have been changed around, and the results have shown that it’s looking like Aussies are actually heading to the cinema to see Aussie films again. Locally made films took in 7.7% of the yearly total, raking in a nice $84 million (with Mad Max: Fury Road and the Dressmaker being the most successful of the bunch).
