Step out in Fluevog’s brilliant limited-edition sneakers celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community

Rock the rainbow with Fluevog’s epic new range proudly inspired by the colours of Pride.

Every year in June, Australia unites to celebrate dignity, equality, self-affirmation and acceptance for all people with Pride Month. It’s an amazing time to spotlight talent within the queer community, however, increased visibility during Pride Month should just be a starting point: we should be celebrating all year round.

Internationally renowned designer John Fluevog is doing exactly that, and is celebrating beyond just the sparkliest season with a special edition of the Leeside sneaker that will help raise funds for a trio of organizations.

Keep up with the latest in local good news via our website.

Designed in 11 colourways, representing the Progress Pride flag, the brand’s special edition Leesides are crafted from smooth or vegan (available in black only) leather, feature gradient rainbow stitching, use EcoRubber soles made from 70% recycled materials and are made in Portugal.

Empowering and connecting LGBTQ+ communities around the world, Fluevog will donate 50 per cent of the sales equally to The Trevor Project, The Marsha P. Johnson Institute, and Rainbow Railroad, all of which are organisations supporting LGBTQIA+ communities everywhere.

Founded in Vancouver, Fluevog has existed in the world of high-end fashion since the late 70s and still to this day is a brand that is all about challenging the status quo. Since then, Fluevog has expanded all over Canada, the US and the Netherlands, and the brand launched its first Australian store in Melbourne in 2019.

Known for their uniqueness and statement pieces (for Madonna and Lady Gaga!), these are the fresh new kicks you need to add to your wishlist.

The lace-up sneakers are currently available for pre-order in Australia for $359 (or $89.75 for four weeks with Afterpay). You can order yours here. The expected arrival is October 2021.
