The lockdown fix you’ve been waiting for.
Two of Australia’s largest coffee institutions have teamed up for one top-notch tipple that is sure to get you through even the darkest days of lockdown.
Melbourne’s coffee pioneers St Ali and New South Wales craft coffee liqueur maker Mr Black have put their heads together to come up with what Aussies love the most, launching a special edition Single Origin Coffee Liqueur.
Using handpicked ‘El Diamante’ coffee grown by Peruvian farmer Apolinar Arevalo, Mr Black’s ‘Head of Coffee’ worked with the brains trust from ST. ALi on roasting, and blended the clean combination of Peruvian Cold Brew Coffee with Australian wheat vodka and a little sugar. Resulting in the ‘Single Origin Coffee Liqueur’, the collab boasts delicate red fruit notes and a defined sugarcane sweetness, with creamy chocolate and caramel flavours.
Ooooft, sounds pretty damn delicious to us.
“I’ve been a big fan of ST. ALi since I first visited them in South Melbourne some ten years ago, so to be collaborating together a decade later is pretty special,” says Mr Black Founder Tom Baker.
“The goal of this collab was to make something fun and bloody tasty to take the edge off 2020, and give some support to our mates in the coffee industry who are having a hard time of it now.”
Better still, you can choose to add it to your next iso espresso martini for a real kick, or enjoy it on its own – it’s that good.
Whether you’re missing your daily fix, or looking for an evening treat under curfew, this is an indulgent distraction worth investing in.
