Speed dating painting has landed in Geelong, giving singles a new way of meeting people

The creative way to meet that special someone.

Art is a great conversation starter, and speed dating is always a unique way to meet and mingle with new people, flirt with potential matches and let the magic begin!

Hosted by local creative Mandy Dollery at The Space – Gallery+Workshops in Rutland Street, ‘speed dating painting’ workshops are the fun, creative new way to go on “mini dates”, and hopefully make a connection that will last a lifetime!

Keep up with the latest in local good news via our website.

A slightly different approach to the usual speed dating – no awkward or boring questions – the workshop will see participants playing around with drawing and painting while rotating around the table to enable everyone to mingle with each other.

With three separate events, one for males and females in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, this is a fun and interactive class with all materials supplied. You don’t have to be able to draw or paint for this class. All you need to bring with you is your choice of beverage, be it wine, beer or a cocktail jug. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Mandy (Geelong’s self-proclaimed matchmaker!) will be there to instruct you on a couple of fun activities and at the end of the night, you will be instructed to complete a feedback form at the end of the night and also nominate anyone you wish to make contact with.

If there is a match (if the person’s name you wrote down also wrote your name down) then Mandy will share contact your contact details the following day.

Not only does it take the pressure off having to ask someone out directly (because let’s be honest, we’re all very out of practice), but it’s kind of an exciting way to land a date.

The events will go ahead in October. To book, head here and go to the event with your age group.
