It’s not all bad news in the festival world! Soundwave festival have announced that not only will they be returning next year (in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane), but they’ll be coming back for a two-day run in each city. The idea is that half the bands will play one day, and the other half will play the next day. This hopefully eliminates timetable clashes, allow the bands longer sets, gives you more time to eat your hot dog and a better festival experience overall. Melbourne will buddy up with Adelaide over the weekend, with the bands playing a Saturday at Melbourne then the Sunday at Adelaide and vice versa. Attending both days will cost you the same as last year, at $185 + booking fees, however if you just want to go for the one day you’re looking at a neat $120 + booking fees.
