Driven by the belief that every woman is capable of achieving amazing things and creating a community with like-minded individuals facing similar challenges in business and life, the Geelong Women’s Business Club is back with their second event of the year following their successful launch in February.

Taking to Capri Geelong on Saturday, May 29, EMPOWERMENT in business and life will be the theme for the day event, helping all women play a bigger game.

The key takeaways

  • Geelong Women’s Business Club (GWBC) is hosting an event dedicated to empowerment in business and life
  • Special guests include Sophie Cachia, Kelly Cartwright, Deni Todorovic and Amanda Kereama from Cartel Flowers
  • The event is raising money for Vinnies Victoria with a portion of every ticket purchased being donated

An opportunity for those who want to be inspired and lean into understanding what they really want and need from life and their business, the event will feature special guests Australian mummy blogger Sophie Cachia, alongside Geelong Paralympian Kelly Cartwright, local non-binary, LGBTQIA activist and stylist to the stars Deni Todorovic, and Amanda Kereama from Cartel Flowers who will form the Q&A panel.

Four individuals who have all pivoted their businesses, lives and mindsets after building the confidence to do so despite overwhelming circumstances against the contrary, these special guests will share their experiences in being confident in your ability to succeed no matter what the circumstances.

With empowerment clearly at its core, this event is for anyone wanting to embrace and accept unexpected changes, pivoting away from society norms – which is an important but challenging part of life and businesses.

“The Geelong Women’s Business Club continues to create safe spaces for women in business to be their authentic selves within business and life. We want this event to leave guests feeling empowered, stronger and supported,” says Geelong Women’s Business Club Founder, Merrin Schnabel.

“This event is going to be one that we look back on and feel very proud that we were able to deliver something that could potentially change the mindset and course of attendees businesses and life decisions moving forward and that is pretty special!”

While this has a focus of business, the event is also a charity event with a portion of each ticket sold being donated to Vinnies Victoria and opportunities to donate throughout the day. There will be a business hub that gives eight local businesses the opportunity to showcase their businesses products and services, as well as live music from the one and only Kim Cooper.

The event will be held at Capri receptions in Geelong on Saturday, May 29 from 1pm. Tickets can be purchased here.
