Stan Woodhouse is the fearless leader of Skyscraper Stan and the Commission Flats. The first born of a novelist and documentary editor, Stan was overheard singing while mopping up at a local basement venue in his hometown.
Just shy of his 21st birthday, he headed for Melbourne to complete, half-heartedly, a zoology degree. Music is where it is at, however. They recently recorded a live EP at Some Velvet Morning.
Suttons House of Music, Ballarat – February 6; The Loft, Warrnambool – February 12; and Major Tom’s, Kyneton – February 13. The band will also take in the Riverboats festival in Echuca, while later down the track they will set up shop at Geelong’s Workers Club on April 9.
