Grab your friends, find a designated driver and head out to wine country for a weekend of sipping in the sun.

Get ready to drink your way through the Yarra Valley with absolute reckless abandon because Shedfest is back and better than ever.

In celebration of the event’s 20th birthday, they’re bringing together 11 amazing small vineyards for a weekend of delicious food, live music, community, entertainment and, of course, bottles upon bottles of locally-made libations.

Shedfest Winery Lineup

  • Billanook Estate
  • Boat O’Craigo
  • Fin Wines
  • Seville Hille
  • Soumah
  • Steels Gate
  • Sutherland Estate
  • Tokar Estate
  • Whispering Hills
  • Warramunda
  • Yering Farm

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Taking place on the weekend of October 14 and 15, the festival will honour the art of winemaking. Even seasoned sommeliers will learn something new, with over 100 reds, whites, rosés, bubblies, pet nats and dessert wines available for tasting (and, fine – some ciders and beers as well).

Some wineries will even be offering exclusive vintage releases and new bottles available for Shedfest drinkers only. Test out the goods and then pick up a bottle to take home if anything tickles your fancy.

For something to nibble on, each location has designed a bespoke menu for the event, featuring dishes that pair perfectly with their wines including homemade pies, pasta dishes and desserts.

If you’re in the mood for something with a bit more of a kick, head over to Tokar Estate to try their notorious Next-Level Spicy Burger. Be warned: it’s damn spicy. Those who are able to finish off the hellish meal will be rewarded with a free bottle of one of Tokar Estate’s cool-climate wines.

Since its beginning 20 years ago, the event has raised over $100,000 for local community groups and charities. Kids, non-drinkers and furry friends get in for free, so don’t hesitate to bring the whole family out for a day in the countryside.
