SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium has officially lifted the curtain on its latest masterpiece, ‘Night on the Reef’, a dazzling $9 million exhibit that plunges visitors into the enchanting depths of the ocean.
After 11 months of meticulous planning and transformation, the 24-year-old oceanarium now stands as a vibrant living ecosystem, showcasing the captivating beauty and diversity of coral reefs worldwide.

The Night on the Reef experience is an immersive journey, alive with a kaleidoscope of tropical fish species, sharks, eagle rays, guitarfish, and more. The 360° habitat allows guests to stroll along a bioluminescent beach, surrounded by a vivid spectacle of colours that mirror the bustling life found in coral reefs globally. This unique display promises an up-close and personal encounter with the mesmerising marine world.
The $9 million investment not only promises a spectacular experience but also serves as an invaluable educational opportunity for visitors of all ages.
