Taking place early in the year, the festival is designed to co-exist with the iconic Queenscliff Music Festival in November, gifting music lovers two brilliantly curated festival experiences each year.

The inaugural By The Pier event proved to be a major success for the QMF family, bringing along the likes of Vera Blue, Boy and Bear, Julia Stone, Electric Fields, Jarryd James, Thandi Phoenix, Kim Churchill, Pierce Brothers, Bones & Jones, Cry Baby, Isabella Khalife, Hassall and many more. The music was magical, the weather was golden and there were only good vibes amongst the crowd over the three days.

The 2023 edition of the festival will run over two days, as opposed to three days.
