Running Touch announces new date for ‘Carmine’ tour in Geelong

Running Touch will now be bringing his long-awaited “CARMINE” Australian Tour to The Geelong Hotel on October 8.

Running Touch (aka Matthew Victor Kopp) is one of the Australian music industry’s most talked about talents. The founding guitarist of renowned Australian nu-metal outfit Ocean Grove, over the last few years, Running Touch has been turning heads with his solo project.

Now with well over 170 million streams under his belt, Running Touch released Carmine, his long-awaited debut album, back in May and to celebrate, the multi-talented producer-performer is hitting the road. The one-man electronic music powerhouse will headline venues around the country in August, September and October, bringing a show that’s been honed through a huge summer festival run with performances at Wildlands, For The Love, and more.

The tour kicked off over the weekend in Sydney, and will take to Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Newcastle, Canberra, Townsville, Mackay and Melbourne across August and September, with a final show going down at the Geelong Hotel in Geelong on October 8. Running Touch was previously meant to perform in Geelong on August 19 but with a Hayden James show scheduled in Melbourne on the same date, a date change was inevitable. Think back to the recent Coachella stage, where he undoubtedly slayed guest vocals during previous collaborator Hayden James’s slots (their monster hit ‘Better Together’ would’ve gone off!).

His debut album, Carmine, is a record about violence and love, that builds on the signature sounds that have made him a force to be reckoned with.

The long-awaited release has well and truly established the much-adored Australian artist as a world-class storyteller, a fearless innovator, and a master of atmosphere second to none in Australian electronic music.

“Wanting and needing to escape wherever it is you are. Go wherever life leads, but wanting to do it with someone, but you’re unsure if they want to. Obsessiveness and escape,” says Running Touch

Brimming with grit and glamour, the Carmine tour represents the beginning of a new chapter for the enigmatic artist: the advent of Running Touch’s second life as a juggernaut of intelligent, heart-rending dance music.

Supports for the night come from Juno Mamba and Coco Du Ma.

Running Touch will take to Geelong Hotel’s bandroom on Saturday, October 8 2022. You can purchase tickets here
