Oregon rockers Roseburg will release their brand new single ‘RIP’ on July 5th, the second release from their upcoming debut album, Righteous Punk, set for release later this year.
The song features guest vocals from Sleeping With Sirens frontman, Kellin Quinn, who has taken the promising up and comers under his wing… and after having a cheeky listen to the track today, you won’t be disappointed with what they have created together.
All about the end of a long relationship, ‘RIP’ is Roseburg’s take on coping with breakups, suggestions of how to kill the memories made with spooky imagery. Chill rock rhythms, crisp textures, captivating vocal harmonies, and a hint of punk nostalgia are the soundtrack for these universal sentiments.
Zach Knell, Roseburg’s primary songwriter says, “’RIP’ was written around a line in the song, ‘a cemetery full of dead love’. I
compare breakups to death, and use a lot of spooky, Halloween-like imagery.”
Frontman for longtime rock fixtures Sleeping With Sirens, Quinn not only offers up his unique vocal talents on ‘RIP’, but has also involved Roseburg in his independent project Dreamer Development Group. Be sure to check it out next Friday once it drops!
Roseburg also recently released the video for ‘Be Good’, the first single from the upcoming Righteous Punk and one that truly speaks volumes. The video was directed by Cameron Gade, and shot on location in Knell’s hometown of Provo, Utah. Special mention to the floral jacket. We want it. Check the vid out below.
