The spike in COVID cases and subsequent increased restrictions means Rod Stewart has cancelled all of his Australian shows in 2022.
Legendary singer and songwriter, Sir Rod Stewart, was due to to play two Melbourne shows at Rod Laver Arena and another at Geelong’s Mt Duneed Estate as part of A Day On The Green, but has cancelled the entire national tour this year. All ticket holders will receive automatic refunds.
“My dear friends, once again I feel we’ve all been cheated by this evil disease, so it is with great regret that I announce my shows for 2022 have had to be cancelled,” Stewart said.

“My thoughts are with all your families at this difficult time as we come out of the joyous and hopefully safe holiday season and I look forward to returning to Australia as soon as the health situation permits.
“I’m absolutely gutted with disappointment and when I do eventually get there we‘ll have the party to end all parties. Guaranteed!”

In addition, he has also toured the USA, with highlights including headlining a series of shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as part of a multi-year residency and adding a third sold-out Hollywood Bowl concert in LA for a landmark reunion set with his former bandmate Jeff Beck.
The iconic artist is one of the best-selling music acts of all time, with more than 250 million records sold worldwide during a stellar career that includes an incredible 27 Top 40 hits in Australia, including four number one singles, plus seven number one albums.

All ticket holders will receive an automatic refund to the credit card used to purchase their tickets.
