Annual fundraising event Rock Off MND has been cancelled ahead of tomorrow’s event amid public health concerns.
The event was set to kick off tomorrow from 5pm in Geelong.
The fundraiser released the following statement on Friday:
We regret to advise that following consultation we have taken the decision to cancel Rock Off MND 2020 due to concerns around Corona Virus.
Whilst we are very disappointed that the event will not proceed, we believe that we’ve made the responsible decision taking into account the health concerns within the community.
We would greatly appreciate if you would consider the purchase of your ticket as a donation towards the funds raised for Motor Neurone Disease research, however refunds will be issued on request. Should you require a refund please reply to this email with a request.
The raffle draw will proceed in accordance with the raffle permit obligations on Saturday 14th March.
We appreciate your patronage and thank you for your ongoing support of our cause to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.
