It’s not every day that classic rock fans get to see two legends on stage together, but that’s exactly what 15,000 people witnessed in Geelong over the weekend. Paul Simon and Sting brought their On Stage Together tour to Mount Duneed’s A Day On The Green festival on Saturday, performing to overjoyed fans for an epic three hour set.
Over the course of the show the duo shared the spotlight as they churned out some of each others greatest hits, such as Brand New Day and Boy In The Bubble, before each performing their own solo set. Sting treated fans to a Police-heavy selection of tunes, whilst Simon opted for an even mix of classics and some of his more recent work.
Not even the threat of rain could dampen the crowd’s reaction to watching two such legendary musicians sharing the stage. They just pulled on their plastic ponchos and kept enjoying the show.
