Rise Against will bring their explosive live show to two iconic and intimate venues.
Chicago, Illinois multi-Gold and Platinum four-piece, Rise Against are making a return to Australia for two exclusive live shows in Melbourne and Sydney in February 2024. It’s their only headline appearance down under this summer.
On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Rise Against will rock the stage at Forum Melbourne, followed by their Sydney performance at the Enmore Theatre on Monday, February 5.
These dates mark Rise Against’s first live shows in Australia since 2018. The band, known for hits like ‘I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore,’ ‘Help Is on the Way,’ ‘Make It Stop (September’s Children),’ and ‘Tragedy + Time,’ is returning following the release of their critically acclaimed ninth album, “Nowhere Generation,” in 2021, and its 2022 follow-up, “Nowhere Generation II” EP.

Rise Against is comprised of Tim McIlrath (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Joe Principe (bass guitar, backing vocals), Zach Blair (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Brandon Barnes (drums, percussion). Since their 2001 debut album, “The Unraveling,” Rise Against has consistently been recognised as one of the best live acts in the rock world. Albums such as “Endgame” (2011), “The Black Market” (2014), “Wolves” (2017), and “Nowhere Generation” (2021) have all topped Album Charts in the US and around the world, including Australia. During their visit to Australia next summer, Rise Against will also be supporting blink-182 on their arena tour.
Rise Against’s powerful five-song EP, “Nowhere Generation II,” continues the critical dialogue between the band, their fans, and the world. This collection, written and recorded alongside “Nowhere Generation” and featuring production by Bill Stevenson (The Descendents, Black Flag), delves into the social, economic, and political instability and inequality that prevails in the modern age. It’s a testament to the band’s ability to address contemporary issues with both a biting edge and a hopeful outlook.
