Held annually on 31 December, the free entertainment attracts between 20,000 and 50,000 visitors to the Waterfront for the final evening of the year and is a highlight on Greater Geelong’s social calendar. Like most years, the event includes an early 9:30pm fireworks display for children and families and the traditional midnight event, with both displays running for around eight minutes.
Fireworks will be safely discharged from a barge on Corio Bay, so anyone with a view of the bay and city skyline will be able to enjoy the show!
Of course, don’t forget to keep your pets safe and secure if you’re around the area during this time.
