Melbourne psych-groove-rockers Riflebirds have notched up the magic 10-year anniversary milestone as a band and are celebrating by releasing their first new material in over 2 years and playing a string of gigs including their first at the Barwon Club Hotel on Sunday March 3rd.
Riflebirds bring their electrifying, vintage rock’n’roll goodness for an evening set of high-energy tunes, rich lyrics, psychedelic vibes, dance-rock beats and maybe even a keytar solo or two.
Joining them are the energetic grunge-pop-punk boys from Localles who are no strangers to the Barwon Club (supported Press Club last year in May) or pretty much any stage from the inner suburbs of Melbourne to Apollo Bay.
Completing the afternoon of frivolity are trio Plastic Cheeses – concocted by members from Footscray, Warncoort and Aireys Inlet. Lethargic and cathartic – they write simple, catchy songs about the happenings and observations of everyday life with a distinct tinge of Australiana.
