Good god.
Oh my donut. Caramilk has once again taken Australia by storm, and unlike last year, this time Caramilk seems to be here to stay.
In what could potentially be the best news we’ve received all year (it’s a low bar we know), Krispy Kreme has announced a collaboration with Cadbury favourite Caramilk, marking the very first time that Caramilk has officially featured in a sweet bakery treat in Australia.
Meet The Caramilk Shell and The Caramilk Ring.
Created from a modest 16 tonnes of creamy Cadbury Caramilk, the Caramilk Shell features signature shell-filled crème, dipped in Caramilk chocolate and covered in Caramilk flakes, while the Caramilk Ring is for those who love Krispy Kreme’s iconic Original Glazed doughnuts, having it dipped in Caramilk chocolate, sprinkled in Caramilk flakes and finished with a decadent white truffle drizzle.
With Cadbury Caramilk becoming the fastest growing chocolate brand (with AU$56 million in sales and growing 43% in the past year alone), Marketing Director at Krispy Kreme Olivia Sutherland believes this new combination of flavours will be a smash hit with Australian consumers.
“The Cadbury Caramilk craze didn’t go unnoticed here at Krispy Kreme, so we knew we had to give Aussies the chance to taste the two iconic flavours brought together in our delicious doughnuts! No one can resist Caramilk, and we love coming up with new flavours for our fans which we’re sure will be an irresistibly tasty new addition to the range.”
So where can you get your hands on this magic?? Starting today, the official collaboration will be taking over 7-Eleven stores around the country for a limited time only. The freshly glazed Krispy Kreme Cadbury Caramilk doughnuts retail at $3.75 each and are available at over 700 stores and via 7-Eleven Delivery in participating areas.
