Sully knows how to make an entrance. January saw the chameleon artist embrace her one true love, the music genre that ‘pops’ all other bubbles. Teaming up with Melbourne’s pop face Evangeline on the songwriting front, Sully debuted her new persona and new flavour of sound with empowering belter ‘I Should Know Better’.
Written following a confrontation with friend of a friend, ‘I Should Know Better’ is a mantra tattoo for Sully to know her self worth and not compromise on that in the face of idiocy; essentially to “not take shit”.
Now in the bed of a dark time in our world history, the shining pastel pop princess is spreading her kaleidoscope anthem with an ambient music video. Captured as a one-take tracking shot filmed by Gary Robertson from Jarrah Film and styled by Geelong’s own Sara De La Cruz, the ‘I Should Know Better’ music video screams popstar.
