Love outdoor dining in the summer? Get your street food feast on at Portarlington's new open-air foodie playground.

When it comes to summer activities, us Victorians sure love spending our time at a food truck park. You’d be hard-pressed to find a local who hasn’t found joy in devouring morsels of delicious street food flung from a truck. Pair it with a coastal breeze, the sun and a bar though and you’re in outdoor dining heaven.

In excellent news for those that love a gourmet outdoor destination, a bright, open-air food park has opened in Portarlington over the summer.

Keep up with the latest food and booze news across the region here.

Providing locals and tourists alike with a culinary mecca worthy of a family night out or your next date night, the Portarlington Food Park is a new outdoor event space located just a block in from the town’s main street.

Opening in early January, courtesy of owners Adrian Bonadio and Tony Lofaro, the Portarlington Food Park offers the region a unique space to explore all the things we love. With a permanent bar and ice cream, the Portarlington Food Park is all about showcasing delicious local eats, featuring a rotating roster of food trucks, local eateries and a coffee van. So far we’ve seen the likes of hot churros from Churrific, delicious warming coffee from Miss Buzz, smash burgers from Smashville, treats from Wrap On Wheels, tacos from A Taste of Tolga and pizza from Miss Dough, among others.

While the food is a hit, the bustling foodie precinct is bringing serious ambience and street cred to the seaside town. Head on down and you’ll find a Bali-inspired outdoor oasis. The beach-themed park features both indoor and outdoor seatings with large grassy areas alongside a beautiful converted industrial shed buzzing with live music, lawn games, pool and hungry thirsty guests keen to get their fill of the Bellarine’s best food truck options.

It’s also dog-friendly, kid-friendly and comes with a side serve of coastal vibes.

The Portarlington Food Park is open from 12pm until 10pm Thursday to Sunday.

Portarlington Food Park is located at 9 Brown St, Portarlington. Head here to stay up to date with the latest.
