Portarlington favourite Little Mussel Cafe announces closure and final week

The Queenscliff Road dedicated seafood house will be having its final day of service on this coming Sunday 14 July.

A popular spot in Portarlington, Little Mussel Cafe has made the difficult decision to cease service, closing their hospitality location.

Posted to their official social media pages yesterday Monday 8 July 2024, the statement read, “Good morning everyone. We will be closing our doors on Sunday the 14th July at around 4pm. It has been a lovely adventure and we are all going to miss your smiling faces. This week will be the last week you can enjoy our wonderful food while admiring the best views in town and being looked after by fantastic friendly staff.”

A champion of the rich Portarlington mussel harvesting industry, Little Mussel Cafe showcases the local seafood star in all its glory through a dedicated menu of mussel dishes including fresh mussels, mussel chowder and mussel pasta. In addition, their paired seafood selection and homemade gelato and icecream are winners.

Across its operation, Little Mussel Cafe has become a hotspot for visitors to the region along with locals thanks to their outstanding menu, live music offering and undeniable hospitality.

With a final day of service on Sunday 14 July, there is still a couple of days to get into the favourite cafe and try their renowned dishes.
