Port Fairy Folk Festival announces third artist lineup for 2023

Andrew Gurruwiwi Band, Eilen Jewell, Folk Bitch Trio, Gallie and more join the magical four-day festival in March 2023.

Returning to the glorious setting of the music-loving coastal village for its 46th edition from 10-13 March,  the 2023 Port Fairy Folk Festival has now unveiled a third taste of what we can expect from the four-day event in March next year, dropping another huge list of acts for the festival.

Following an incredible first and second lineup release, the third release artists joining the superb round of folk artists include Andrew Gurruwiwi Band, Blues Roulette, Bud Rokesky, Early James (USA), Eilen Jewell (USA), Folk Bitch Trio, Gallie, Georgia Mooney, Georgia State Line, Jon Boden (ENG), Minor Gold, Nick Charles, Sally Seltmann, Scott Cook (CAN), Skyscraper Stan, Startijenn (FRA), Sweet Talk, The Southern Ocean Sea Band, Vieux Farka Touré (MLI) and William Crighton.

This lineup of artists will join previously announced acts 19-Twenty, Ajak Kwai, Anna Smyrk, Baby Velvet, The Badloves, Billy Bragg (USA), Blue Moon Marquee (CAN), Claymore, Colin Lillie, Dani Larkin (IRE), Eastbound Buzz, Eric Bibb (USA), Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse,  Grigoryan Brothers, Ian Noe (USA), Inn Echo (CAN), John Smith (ENG), Josh Pyke, Judy Collins (USA), The Langan Band (SCO), Liz Stringer, Mary Coughlan (IRE), Niamh Regan (IRE), Norwood, Rebecca Barnard and Peter Farnan perform the music of Joni Mitchell, Steve Poltz (USA),  Tim Easton (USA), The Waifs, and While and Matthews (ENG) for this spectacular seaside festival.

Announcing the third artist line-up, Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director Justin Rudge said he is eagerly anticipating this year’s festival to be one of the best.

“The Folkie is getting bigger and more exciting with every artist announcement,” he says.

“This third round of artists is incredibly diverse and represents so much of what the festival is about.  I’m personally so excited to see so many new and unique artists coming to Port Fairy next March, and a big thanks to Creative Victoria for their support as we head towards our 50th anniversary festival in 2027.”
