Pier St brings you excellent food, wine and a gorgeous waterfront view

A menu you have to try!

Have you heard? A treasure chest has been discovered in Portarlington and it’s full of seafood gems!

The team behind the popular French bistro – Noir, now present a seaside dining experience like no other. Moving from the heart of Melbourne, Peter Roddy and Ebony Vagg have arrived on the peninsula with Pier St, an unmissable destination for locals and day trippers too! Simple and true to its roots, the restaurant brings a contemporary edge to the nostalgic Australiana. Fusing inner-city dining with an unpretentious beachside charm, the place delivers a comfortable and memorable affair.

The menu has been exceptionally crafted to proudly boast of the local produce, with a number of fresh and flavoursome options to have you licking your lips.

Dive into the famous fish and chip platter, with beautifully battered and crispy flathead, juicy crumbed prawns, calamari and of course a dipping sauce of your choice. (Go for the aioli!) If you’re looking for a bigger seafood indulgence, then why not try the seafood platter. In addition to all the delicious elements of the fish and chips, this exceptional dish comes with a variety of yummy garlic prawns, miso salmon and pickled mussels!

Much to our disappointment, the 2021 Mussel Festival of Portarlington has been cancelled due to COVID-19. However, you still have the opportunity to celebrate the town’s famous mussels down at Pier St. The restaurant serves the delectable treats in not one but three different mouth-watering dishes! Enjoy them in a chilli seafood chowder, a classic moules marinière or a flavour packed Thai red curry.

The restaurant also caters to those who aren’t huge fans of seafood, with a great variety of non-seafood options available. This includes a Middle Eastern inspired spiced lamb shoulder served on hummus and warm flatbread in its plenty. There’s also a pea and broad bean risotto or a pekin duck dish creatively infused with flavours of smoked cinnamon.

The options here are honestly endless!

You can also join the restaurant as they host a cocktail party in collaboration with Bellarine Distillery. Enjoy gin-based cocktails and amazing matching canapes from 6-9pm, on the 25th February. Tickets are now on sale!

Overlooking the stunning views of Port Phillip Bay, Pier St is a glorious escape that awaits you.

Located at 3 Pier Street, Portarlington 3223, the restaurant is open all week for you to enjoy. Visit their Instagram or Facebook to see more!
