Peaches: Rub

What is Peaches without reference to vaginas, penis, or sex? Not afraid to take things to the next level with her lyrical honestly – I feel sorry for the man that is responsible for Peaches in the bedroom, he would have no legitimate excuse for not knowing what she wants… all he has to do to is listen to the album and he would know exactly how to ‘rub’ her the right way.
Six years on from the 2009’s I Feel Cream album, and peaches has released Rub. Guests on the LP include Peaches’ longtime collaborator Feist , who sings on ‘I Mean Something’, and Kim Gordon, who speak-sings a hook on ‘Close Up’.
Remaining relatively quiet until now, Peaches  has been expanding her artistic horizons, appearing in productions including Peaches Christ Superstar , and Peaches Does Herself , a futuristic rock opera about her rise to fame.
Activist, fashion visionary and queen of filthy dirty electropunk, she has created an album that is so authentically hers. Giving fans a taste of what to expect from the new album, Peaches revealed the video for lead single ‘Light in Places’ which couldn’t be more true peaches style. The track opens with electronic synths and peels into subtle vocals before breaking into her classic pop punk erotica. The clip features UK aerial artist Empress Stah and sees her shooting an actual laser from her butt. It’s an extraordinarily fitting imagery for the song, which sees Peaches singing, “eliminate the class, all humans, free at last, so much beauty coming out of my ass.”
