Bill & Ted Face the Music will be arriving on Australian shores next month.
In what promises to be a bodacious new adventure, the long-awaited Bill and Ted Face the Music sees Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves return for their roles as Bill and Ted, which they first played more than 30 years ago in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure in 1989. The original film was followed by a sequel in 1991, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, with the upcoming and very long-awaited release being the third in the franchise.
Directed by Dean Parisot with returning franchise writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the stakes are higher than ever for the time-travelling exploits of the duo. Yet to fulfill their rock-and-roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters (Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine), a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony to the universe.
While loads of other films have been getting shelved due to the pandemic, Bill & Ted Face the Music will be arriving on Australian shores pretty soon, slated to land in cinemas on September 10.
Under the state’s current stage 3 and stage 4 restrictions, Victorians won’t be seeing the inside of a cinema until at least September 13, and that’s if the state government decides to ease restrictions when that time comes.
But we have hope… and in the name of being excellent to each other, we’re giving away movie tickets for you all to hang on to until that sweet moment Victorian cinemas reopen and Bill & Ted grace the big screen.
Please note, the film is planned to hit Victorian screens as soon as it is deemed safe, however the validity of tickets will depend on how far through our period of release… In saying that, you’ve got nothing to lose either way!
