Byron Bay metal legends Parkway Drive have rescheduled their upcoming Australian Tour.
The Viva The Underdogs Australian Revolution Tour, originally scheduled for June 2020, will now take place in July 2021 in order to accommodate the original line-up, featuring special guests Hatebreed and Every Time I Die.
“To all our Aussie fans, It may come as no surprise to you that the Viva The Underdogs Australian Revolution Tour will need to be postponed. Given the current situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the various restrictions State and Federal Governments have put in place, it is literally impossible for the tour to go on in June 2020,” the band said in a statement today.
“We have rescheduled the shows for July 2021 and are stoked that both Hatebreed and Every Time I Die will still be joining us then. Thank you for your patience in these testing times and we promise it will be worth the wait when this tour gets back up and running next year.”
Slated to be their biggest Aussie tour to date, Viva The Underdogs tour is named in honour of a feature-length documentary released earlier this year, following the band’s 15-year journey from small-town surf-rats to international headliners on the world’s biggest metal music festivals.
Those who managed to see the doco or catch them at Good Things last year will know exactly what kind of treat they’re in for, with a stage show sporting tons of pyro, a rotating drum cage and of course, Parkway bangers all night.
They’ll hit up Melbourne Arena on Friday, July 9. Tickets are on sale now.
