The news comes two days before the band were due to take the Melbourne stage at Caribbean Gardens. In their place, Pandemonium will add local acts to the opening slots of each show who will be announced tomorrow, Friday 19 April. Set times will also be delivered with the artist announcement.

The festival has already seen major line-up changes with the removal of half of the billed acts including headliners Deep Purple and Placebo, along with Dead Kennedys, Gang of Four, Gyroscope and Petch. The cuts came after the festival announced a reduction of stages from two to a single stage setup.

The festival lineup currently consists of prince of darkness Alice Cooper, ‘Atomic’ act Blondie, ‘Love My Way’ swooners Psychedelic Furs, the original teenage dirtbag’s Wheatus, jokers and thieves Wolfmother, lost causes Cosmic Psychos and a local opening act.
