February 27 is the date to keep clear, as the largest free celebration of cultural diversity in Australia once again sets up shop in Geelong.
Pako Festa has been held every year since 1983 as it brings together local ethnic communities, organisations, schools, community groups, the business sector, and people with physical and mental disabilities in the name of diversity.
Last year’s event, for example, incorporated 33 different cultural community groups. It would also pick up the ‘Best Regional Event Award’ at the 2015 Australian Event Awards. Keep an eye on pakofesta.com.au for further information as it becomes available closer to the date.
