Paddington: everyone’s favourite bear, and soon to be everyone’s favourite café.
There are few people in life that you know will take care of you. That have your best interests at heart. That will feed you medium-roast coffee until all your woes are gone. But the team at the brand-spanking-new café Paddington promise to do just that.
Tom and Molly, two hospitality pros, have spent the last few months preparing to open the doors of their first café venture together. The space is bright, light and welcoming, taking inspiration from the warm tones of clay and earth. Their mission? To serve up some of the tastiest food and drink in Belmont, and ensure the good vibes are flowing.
Offering a selection of fresh sandwiches, pastries and cakes from La Madre, and some fancy toast and granola, these guys are geared up for all your takeaway needs. Their coffee is from Clark Street, which is roasted in Melbourne and is entirely zero-waste, while still managing to impress with rich flavours.
A stocked up a retail section sets them apart from their café compadres, where you can pick up some freshly made bread, coffee beans, olive oils and delicious condiments. Oh, and of course they didn’t forget about man’s best friend; puppy treats are also available.
Bolstering a strong community feel, Paddington hopes to eventually play host to small events like book clubs, local creativity workshops and art/clothing exhibitions. So make sure once restrictions lift, you come by to soak up that good juju. Or even just a well-made brew.
Thanks to lockdown customers can’t sit in just yet, but when you can, prepare to feel any and all stressed vibes leave your body. Paddington is a place of community, creativity and old-fashioned customer service, aptly named after the homeliest bear of all.
