Pack a picnic rug, the outdoor Barefoot Cinema returns to Werribee Park this March

While you wait for the film to start, you can tour the rose garden and wider mansion estate, drink in hand, as the live music mingles with the sweet smells of summer.

Following a two-year hiatus, the laid-back outdoor Barefoot Cinema is back, illuminating the blooming beauty of the Victorian State Rose Garden at Werribee Park this March for a season full of movies under the stars.

Having already taken to Mount Martha and St Kilda this year, the beloved outdoor cinema will take over the garden from March 2-19, positioned in the splendour of 5000 magnificent roses, thus encapsulating the #barefootandchill immersive experience.

Taking over a dedicated grassed area within the venue, located merely 45 minutes from Geelong, you can bet the outdoor cinema will be serving up a roster of brand-new blockbusters, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, House of Gucci, Death on the Nile, The King’s Man, Marry Me, and the newest Scream film all on the bill.

Offering so much more than just a movie, Barefoot Cinema invites guests to relax, absorb the spectacular views and ambience of the wider mansion estate and experience a memorable summer evening complete with pre-show live music, lawn games and tasty treats from the food trucks and candy bar. If you’re not keen on the food options there, you can also BYO dinner or order delivery to the venue from local restaurants.

Set in the heart of the tourist precinct, adjoining the Werribee Zoo, Mansion Hotel, Airfield and Equestrian Centre, this is a coveted experience for the western suburbs.

Tickets are $21 for a standard adult ticket, and for an additional $22 you can upgrade to a VIP ticket that includes a bean lounge or chair in a premium area and bottomless popcorn. Gates open at 6.30pm each night, and the film will start once the sun has set around 8:30pm.
