The month long party against poverty presented by Oxfam Australia is officially back for another year.
Last year 12,000 partygoers attended more than 180 OXJAM gigs across the nation, raising thousands of dollars for Oxfam Australia’s work.
Taking place throughout August, the event sees ARIA award winners Megan Washington and Art vs Science as the official ambassadors. The event has been running in the UK for around a decade and seen support from such musicians as Coldplay, Fatboy Slim, T.E.E.D, 2ManyDJs, Hot Chip and many more.
“I’m proud to be an ambassador for OXJAM in 2016 alongside the guys from Art Vs Science. OXJAM is a fantastic initiative, aimed at enticing music fans all over Australia to host gigs in the name of fighting poverty. I can’t wait to see what the country comes up with in August,” Washington says.
