Out on the Weekend adds more acts to its stacked lineup for 2023

Out On The Weekend, Australia's premier country music festival, has just unveiled some exciting additions to its already star-studded lineup.

With an impressive array of local and international artists, this year’s festival has both kinds of music: country and Western. Head down to Williamstown’s historic Seaworks on October 14 for a rootin’ tootin’ good time.

One of the highlights of the new additions is Willie Watson, known for his work with the classic Old Crow Medicine Show. Watson will be bringing his solo troubadour country sounds to the Out On The Weekend stage, captivating the audience with his heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies.

Making her first trip Down Under, the beloved ramblin’ country soul singer Melissa Carper is set to grace the stage. Known for her old-timey gold sound, Carper will be performing new songs from her sensational new record, ensuring a night filled with nostalgia and pure musical delight.

Hailing from the Peach State of Georgia, the country-rockers The Pink Stones will be making their Australian debut at the festival. Fresh off the release of their hot new album, “You Know Who,” they are ready to deliver a full serving of cosmic country, leaving the audience craving more.

On the local front, Out On The Weekend will showcase the talent of Watty Thompson and his band, treating the crowd to rollicking country drawls and deep emotions. Additionally, Charlotte Le Lievre will bring her tear-soaked alt-country songs, creating a unique and captivating experience for festival-goers.

In keeping with its tradition of honouring musical legends, this year’s event will pay tribute to Linda Ronstadt, one of the greatest and most diverse singers of all time. Ella Hooper, the Violet Town country cowgirl, will lead an all-star backing band, transporting the audience back to the halcyon days of Linda’s seventies sounds.

Out on the Weekend goes down on October 14 at Seaworks. Tickets available now.
