OPEN DAY: Federation University Australia

Federation University Australia is excited to welcome prospective students and their families to its Ballarat and Gippsland Campuses for the 2016 Open Day on Sunday, 28 August.

At FedUni you will be able to learn practical, hands-on skills as part of a community, not just a university.

Our Mt Helen and Camp Street campuses in Ballarat and Gippsland campus in Churchill will be open from 10 am to 3 pm on the Sunday. Visitors will be able to explore our wide range of programs at Discovery Points at each campus.

Prospective students will be able to meet and speak with staff and current students; attend informative program information sessions; collect detailed course and student services and support information; explore our facilities and FedUni Living accommodation; and find out how to apply for courses.

The University will deliver some programs at the new Berwick campus at 100 Clyde Rd Berwick from 2017.

“On behalf of the University I am pleased to welcome students and their families to FedUni for our 2016 Open Day,” Professor David Battersby, Vice-Chancellor, said.

“You will find university staff and student ambassadors at hand who will readily help with any questions or wishes you may have.”

Exclusive to our Mt Helen Campus this year will be the new Try A Trade Alley.

At the Alley you will be able to get your hands dirty and try out the University’s huge range of trade programs.

Study options in these fields include building, construction, hair and beauty, bakery, carpentry, plumbing, robotics and mechatronics.

Other activities at the Mt Helen and Camp St Campuses will include a race car simulator; canoeing; rock climbing; V02 max testing; biomechanics and fitness testing; interactive video skills analysis; and visual and performing arts demonstrations and galleries.

In Gippsland you will be able to explore visual art and design galleries and demonstrations; media power (design your own advert); criminal justice; education classroom activities; nursing skills survivor challenge; outdoor and environmental educations activities; and business skills activities.

For further information the University can be contacted on 1800 FED UNI (1800 333 864) or at [email protected] or the website.
