Discover some of our best dessert places, guaranteed to satisfy your sweet-tooth.

We’ve all got that friend or family member that has pancakes for breakfast and sticky date for dinner, much to the envy of everyone around them. Take a leaf out of their book and check out these hot spots for cookies, cakes, and all things sugar-filled.

Regional Victoria is home to some of the best home-cooked, locally sourced, and wide-ranging lollies across the state. We’re diving into just a selection of them below.

The Sassafras Sweet Co, Sassafras

A visit to this super popular confectionary spot is definitely something to tick off the bucket list. The Sassafras Sweet Co can be found across a number of different locations across Victoria like Olinda and Ringwood, but the most notable location is in its namesake.

As their website mentions, they’ve got a bunch of awesome ‘lollies, chocolates and fudge from across the globe’, all of which can be bought online too! For all those massive confectionary fans, you can also mix and match their extensive range of lollies for your own party bag.

Sweet Adeline Desserts, Newtown

For a slice of New York at home, check out the awesome up and coming Sweet Adeline desserts in the heart of Geelong. Their beautiful wide-ranging list of sweets are super-instagrammable too.

Their cute little can be hired out for your next event, where they can provide you with everything you need, from Cocktails to Sound Systems. They will tailor the desserts they offer to your event too, just for that added extra special touch!

The Sweet Station, Emerald

Emerald’s The Sweet Station mixes the best of the old and the new for an interesting one stop shop for all things sweet. You can even enjoy their amazing range of sweets in store, in some old fashioned diner booths and cone chairs.

Their large range of sweet stuff has garnered them many loyal customers from all across the state. Their unique shop has a large range of tasty ice-cream and sorbet, a bunch of decadent milkshakes and thick-shakes, and a bevy of icy slushies.

Sweet Cheeks Cocktail and Dessert Lounge, Geelong (Temporarily Closed)

There’s no way we could do a sweets roundup and not mention Sweet Cheeks, even if they are currently closed for renos.

Featured in Geelong’s Bar Code, Sweet Checks is another spot definitely worth checking out. It’s one of the best late-night destinations to head to after a nice dinner at one of Geelong’s many restaurants.

They’ve got a bunch of jaw-dropping cocktails and decadent desserts, all made in house. They also mix the two for some awesome sweet cocktails that are the joy of many visitors.

Spoon and Spatula, Traralgon

If you’re keen for some classy home baked goods, check out the awesome Spoon and Spatula out of Victoria’s Gippsland. The small business focuses on all different types of cool biscuits and even specialises it to you, for any occasion you want.

They primarily focus on making their popular sweets for birthdays, weddings, and even hen nights.

Pud For All Seasons, Castlemaine

As the name suggests, Pud For All Seasons is a hot spot for all things Pudding related. It’s home to some of Victoria’s best handmade gourmet puddings. The shop started as a stall way back in the early 2000’s and has gone from strength to strength since.

Now they’ve got a bunch of orders every year and are one of Australia’s biggest pudding distributors. They cater for all with a range of gluten free puddings, and on top of that, they’ve even got a delicious range of dessert sauces.

If you’re a massive ice cream fan but hate the feeling it gives you afterwards, then look no further than Castlemaine’s Ice Cream Social. They focus on creating some of the tastiest ice cream and pies from the most premium local ingredients.

They’ve got a spot at The Mill in Castlemaine, as well as the super-popular High St in Thornbury.

This absolutely awesome business out of Geelong does some great stuff for those less fortunate in our community.

They offer those with disabilities a chance to gain integral work skills and real-world experience, through helping offer their loyal customers some tasty goods.

They mainly focus on providing some of the best cupcakes of all different shapes, colours and tastes; which can be further delved into here.

Widow Twankey’s Confectionery Emporium, Clunes

If you ever dreamed of visiting Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, then take a trip to The Confectionery Emporium in Clunes. Their version of the eccentric confectionery king comes in the form of Widow Twankey, a character that can be further delved into here.

When entering the shop, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into another era, the old fashioned interior with lollies filling the walls will be a sight you’ll never forget.
