Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds announce Ballarat as part of Skeleton Tree Tour

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will bring their acclaimed new album, Skeleton Tree, to Australia and New Zealand in January – with Ballarat included on the list.

Beginning in Hobart mid-January, the take to Ballarat for a special outdoor performance on the banks of Lake Wendouree on January 15.

The line-up of musicians backing Cave include long-time collaborators Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, Thomas Wydler, Jim Sclavunos and veteran touring member Conway Savage, as well George Vjestica and Larry Mullins.

Audiences in Ballarat, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will also be treated to a support performance from ARIA award winning, cult experimental trio The Necks.

This tour follows the number one ARIA chart and 16th studio album Skeleton Tree, and is one not too missed.

Tickets for the tour are on sale from nickcave.com on Thursday October 27 at 9am AEDT.
