Explosive rock legends Wolfmother head up the latest artist announcement alongside hot talents Alice Ivy, The Vanns, Hayley Mary, Harvey Sutherland, The Dreggs, Maddy Jane, Old Mervs, Muroki, Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird and Tall Shaun and The Resolution Blues.

This second round of artists joins music headliners Ziggy Alberts, DMA’s, The Teskey Brothers, Winston Surfshirt, scorching soul singer Curtis Harding and legendary pop surrealists The Dandy Warhols.

Arts program highlights for this announcement include Die Roten Punkte – Berlin’s prince and princess of art rock and europop – gracing our stage with their hilarious wild cabaret. Alex Ward and Lizzy Hoo crown the comedy lineup after performing shows to rave reviews at 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Spanish artist Emiliano Matesanz presents Lila’s World, a series of playful installations made from pre-loved recycled materials. Enigmatic music installation Shapes & Sounds, 20’s Swing and gospel darlings Wiki People, the hilarious Guess Who Tarot and This Is Me Bunting are all new additions to the incredible arts lineup (full list below).

“I am so excited to be sharing this fantastic range of artists with you all. At Wanderer we feel so confident that our audiences will leave the festival having seen and participated in performances and creative works that they didn’t even know existed and now can’t get enough of. You’ll come for the music (I know I do!) but I reckon you’ll love the arts program just as much,” Artistic Director Ian Pidd commented.

“For those who follow the AFL, we know the last Saturday of September is a huge occasion. We’ve got you covered! The entire Grand Final will be broadcast on a big screen at the festival, with hot pies, cold beer and drinks on hand… and the half-time entertainment will be something to remember.”

Alongside the new artist announcement, the Pambula Beach is now confirmed as the venue for Wanderer Festival 2022. The festival will transform the community’s sports fields into a vibrant music and arts venue with the festival’s extensive program shared across the Main Stage, Wanderer and The Lost Lands. The site will also host onsite camping and a showcase of the region’s most delicious and thirst quenching produce.

“We’re thrilled that the Bega Valley Shire Council has given us access to the Pambula Beach community fields.” said Wanderer Festival founder Simon Daly. “The reserve has a beautiful National Parks backdrop and amphitheatre. It’s an easy walk or bike ride to the beach for your morning swim. We’re a stone’s throw to the beautiful village of Pambula and only 10 mins from Merimbula. People will love how close we are to everything.”

A free bus service will transport patrons to and from Merimbula, Pambula and Pambula Beach ensuring patrons can stay anywhere in the local area hassle free.

For locals, it’s an incredible opportunity to experience an event of this calibre and magnitude in their backyard. For music lovers further afield, it’s a chance to embark on a festival holiday immersed in some of the country’s most stunning coastal landscapes and be hosted by some of the friendliest folks you’ll ever meet.

Located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne and just a three-hour drive from Canberra, the Sapphire Coast remains one of Australia’s truly pristine yet accessible destinations.
