Manhattan Bar, The 18th Amendment‘s younger and more laid-back sister will have you sipping on craft beers, cocktails and quality spirits all weekend long.
In case you haven’t stopped by the venue since it opened back in 2019, Manhattan Bar provides all the vibes of a New York bar in the centre of Geelong – cheap drinks, an unpretentious atmosphere, and a unique experience with equally unique individuals. Think dimly lit, big neon signs and ample seating, including booths making it the perfect spot to sit back, relax and take the edge off after a long week.
With the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll coursing through its veins, inside you’ll be met with an insta-worthy neon sign as the backdrop for your weekend drinks, with the added touch of vintage tour posters, sexy lighting, framed portraits of rock gods and goddesses, retro vinyl stickers lining the furniture and some of the best records lining the walls.
A haven for those who love real music, the New York-style bar offers all the best bits of going out for drinks with a chilled vibe to match. Their killer playlist is filled to the brim with classic rock and fans favourites, while the bar boasts an extensive drinks menu along with talented bartenders, making sure there’s always something for everyone. Whether it’s a craft beer on tap, a glass of red or a cheeky cocktail you’re after, Manhattan Bar caters for everyone.
You can even grab a drink that is reminiscent of your fave childhood lollies. Think Skittles, Zappos and marshmallow-infused vodka (just to name a couple of the vodka infusion offerings going on at Manhattan). As well as their signature vodka infusions, the cosy bar stands out from the crowd by also offering boilermakers for those that dare and syringe jelly shots for when you’re craving that 10pm sugar kick.
We wouldn’t recommend a place without some sweet deals on offer and Manhattan Bar offers up some of the best drink specials in Geelong, serving up unlimited basic spirits, tap beers, vodka infusions, wine and selected cocktails (espressos and green apple mojitos) for two hours for a measly 60 bucks. This isn’t a deal offered at a ridiculous time either, it’s available between 5pm and 7pm, or 6pm and 8pm, making it ideal for the penny pinchers on a night out.
