Celebrate the game, the players, and the fans in an unforgettable festival of basketball.

In a slam-dunk, Pacific Dreams Collective and 24 Calibre present the first-ever NBA All-Star Down Under Basketball Event. Set to tip-off on 17th February at Swisherr Hoops in Hobart and on 18th February at The Timber Yard in Melbourne, this event promises a courtside experience like no other, backed by a stellar lineup of international basketball stars.

The brainchild of Guy Dupuy, co-founder of the event and an NBA legend himself, NBA All-Star Down Under is a celebration of basketball culture, featuring a weekend packed with activities. Fans can look forward to specialised clinics, player meet and greets, a 3-point contest, a dunk show, and more.

Keep up with the latest in local news and entertainment here.

The lineup reads like a who’s who of basketball greatness. Two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas, two-time NBA Champion Mario Chalmers, and international dunker extraordinaire Guy Dupuy are set to showcase their skills. Whit3 Iverson, the electrifying international street baller, and Liptek, the world dunk champion from Poland, will bring their own flair to the court.

Adding a touch of expertise to the mix is NBA skills trainer Ronald Taylor, who will host a skills clinic in both Hobart and Melbourne, providing aspiring Australian players with a unique opportunity to learn from the best.

The action-packed weekend doesn’t stop at clinics and contests. Attendees can indulge in an elite Dunk Show and 3-Point Contest, featuring jaw-dropping dunks and precision shooting. For those hungry for insights, a live Q&A session with the basketball legends will offer a closer look at their careers and experiences, culminating in a Celebrity All-Star Game in Melbourne.

Guy Dupuy expresses his excitement, stating, “We are so thrilled to be able to present this event in Australia, at a time when basketball is at its peak of attention worldwide. It’s fantastic to see how this sport that used to be just for the streets, is now firmly celebrated by all segments of society, all over the world.”

Beyond the basketball action, the event promises a cultural celebration with the inclusion of the city’s favourite food trucks, urban music, and other interactive basketball activations for the whole family.
