Two artist sessions will be an opportunity for Greater Geelong musicians to build their capacity within the music industry, with sessions cover topics including audience development, digital marketing, set up of your music practice, communicating with venues, and negotiation. The first session is titled Promoting Your Work To Your Audience and will be held on Wednesday 12 June, from 5.30 – 7.30pm at Customs House. The following Wednesday 19 June will cover Getting Your Act Together.

A dedicated Venue Roundtable session for the live music venues of Greater Geelong will be an opportunity for venues to discuss current and future challenges they face, share insights and workshop possible solutions. All venues in the City of Greater Geelong are invited to attend speak with Music Victoria and City of Greater Geelong about pressing challenges and possible solutions. This session is very prevalent to the downtown in live music spaces in the region.

Sessions are free to attend but RSVP’s are required.

These sessions come at a time where the Live and Local program is focusing on the reactivation of spaces in the Geelong region, championing local artists and venues through ReSound.
